Returning To Fitness Program
It’s been quite some time since my last personal post and I must confess that I have let my health and fitness slip back in the past few months.
Due to lack of exercise and too much of the wrong food (cakes) my weight has increased and my knee problems have returned, plus I have not felt as energetic. I take this as a warning sign that to control my knee problem I must keep my weight down and do the correct exercises.
To get back into fitness and reduce knee pain I started my home exercise routines again breaking in steadily using my Turbo Trainer (bike on fixed resistance rollers) Rowing Machine, Stability Ball, Hand Weights and Floor Exercises.
My first priority is to strengthen both knees with weight exercises and then concentrate more on cardio which in my case is used to reduce weight and increase stamina.
There are a lot of fitness routines about but I am going back to Craig Ballantyne’s Turbulance Training for Abs to work on as a break from my bike and rowing on alternate days.
